Tier One Fire Protection was contracted by Scentre Group to deliver tenancy fitout fire services for a variety of specialty stores within Westfield Belconnen, including retail outlets, banks, cafés, restaurants, salons, and a childcare facility.

Our scope of works included:

• Automatic fire sprinklers – modification of open-plan sprinkler layouts to suit each tenant’s fitout design, installed in compliance with AS2118.1 for Ordinary Hazard 3 occupancy. This also included upgrades to the sprinkler system where required due to higher fire risk introduced by tenant operations.
• Dry fire services – installation of additional EWIS speakers and smoke detection systems, as required, in compliance with AS1670.4-2018 and AS1670.4-2018 to maintain safety standards and align with tenant-specific fitouts.
• Fitout certification – full certification of fire services works to ensure compliance.

A key component of this project is Tier One Fire Protection’s ability to complete works without impacting tenant trading. This required careful scheduling, including after-hours works, demonstrating our flexibility and commitment to meeting project timeframes while maintaining the operational continuity of tenants.
